I f*#ked my 501 today, was able to get box keys etc... then I wrote a different tsop that was supposed to fix the problem with it not wanting to let me use my rom10.
Needless to say, its screwed up, I can't get in and erase the flash or anything, when I get into programming mode I get the following:
THE FLASH CODES ARE 103/3130 {JEDEC} AND 103/3130 {FLASH FILE}
It also mentions something about it not being a recognized flash. Is there anyway to fix this?
If there is a way to do a junkyard fix could someone please let me know how to do it. I'm pretty new to charlie, and this is my first attempt with a 501.
Help is appreciated! TIA (Thanks in advance)

I'd try jtagging a few more times to make sure you get the same thing here.
If so, You can edit the jkeys file in wordpad, Toward the end it has
flash 1
flash2.... Etc with the definitions.
The chip you are after is the flash 29DL323T, one that line is a 0x2250, Change that to the 3130 you are getting and save the file, Now open jkeys again and try it, You should be able to get into programming.
Skinerd has a sticky thread with more details here.

My reciever was F*%KED but good. That didn't even work. I have a copy of wall sitting on my desktop and thought what the hell, what do I have to lose by jacking the tsops up some more.
So, I opened wall, after I got the jkeys message, erased the flash, then closed out of flash programming in jkeys, re-entered, and it let me erase and re-program the tsops.
I spent a SH*T load of time trying to figure this out, and thought I had just created a 200 dollar door stop.
Thanks for all of the info everyone! I picked up a few new ideas, and now have to figure out how to do the vid mod on this SOB. Something about no-audio/video.
Also need to figure out if/how to use an atmega 128 in it. Back to the search button I go :p
