I only have channels 101 and 103 after I sector erased SA5 on my 2700 receiver. It was on channel 103 all night. So it had to have updated by now. I had to reprogram the card. But it works fine in my 301, but when I changed the Box keys, receiver #, etc for it to work in the 2700, I only get 2 channels.

What gives???

Thanks.

Most likely, your erase procedure failed. Check your LOC ID again; bet it's 0000001. This happens more often than you think.

When you restream it, leave it OFF with the card OUT.

If it had video right after deleting your sa sector, It did not delete it, SHould have had a black screen until it restreamed and updated.

OK, I cleared it about 10 times but it is still coming up 0000001 on the location ID. I Pulled the card. Did the sector erase on SA5 with the card out and when I got finished, it popped up on the screen still saying that the location ID is 0000001.

Will the 0000001 clear after the receiver updates? Or will it show immediatley after the repair?

Thanks.

Soapstreet, you must restream the receiver and allow it to rewrite the sector you just erased. Leave the card out, plug in the sat feed and the receiver power. Don't manually turn the receiver on.

The green power light should flicker, go off/on/off/on....after a few minutes, it may go off and stay off, or show the sys info screen. At that time, the rewriting is finished. Don't interrupt the process, or you'll be right back at 0000001.

MrMark28, check your card's data to make sure it's being programmed with the current public decrypt keys.
