Got the 153 nag this morning. Turned off ird and now it wont power on again. i noticed that the red light on the lock is now on along with the green one thats always on. Unplugged ird and still cant get it to power on. Ive held down the power button and then it powers on for 2 seconds in which i try to hit the menu or sys info buttons so i can check the location ID but i cant get to a screen befores if shuts off again.
Ive seen some people mention "resetting" the ird and everything was ok. How do i reset the ird at least so i can get to the sys info screen to see if im location id 00000001?
Thanks.

If you saw the 153 nag it's 00000001 and has been hit. You will need to turn your lock off and repair the tsop, Either with Jkeys or JY.

Do you say that because im saying i cant get it to power on? When my dad gets the 153 nag on his 3900 he just pulls the card out and puts it back in and everythings good for another month or so.

Your dad must have a modded receiver, Either a auto reset or JY button or something, The ecm string needs to be cleared from the receivers tsop memory.
You will need to Jtag it and delete flash 1 sector SA8 or do a junkyard fix by pulling the cover and shorting R293 pad closest to IC23 to ground for about 12 seconds while receiver is powered up with the sat connected and card pulled out, Give it about 10 minutes with a black screen and it will blink the power light then reboot and come back up normal.

I know his receiver is a 3800 that got hit before and when he took it in it came back as a 3900 (software wise) with a lock. Dont know what happened to it but since then he just pulls the card and everything works. Its a rom 10 with no PPV on the script.
As for mine do i have to unlock the lock to do the JYF? Thanks.

Yes, Need to unlock.
3800's all update to 3900 firmware, That is normal. His lock is reseting it for him.
The ecm is back in the stream, Just saw it about 4 minutes ago again, SO fix your card or it will be right back hitting you again.

Fix the card by taking the PPVs out or do i have to change the cam id? Thanks again. I had a couple of locals on...wondering if that had something to do with it. Ill just stick with 1 local.
Any idea why the red light on the lock came on when this happened. Does that tell me that it got hit from now on? Weird to have both lights on at the same time.

It's not locals, I have every non spotbeamed local from 4 sats here and no problem. Way out of range PPV strings, Single channel 500 ppv tiers and some blockers plugging too much seem to be the hit on this one.

So just tight PPV strings and all should be fine...even with the ecm coming again?Guess ill just watch the superbowl on cable this weekend...although the 7100 seems to be doing fine with the rom3...taping troy now.

I am not sure on the lock, But if you never saw the red light before I am sure it's telling you something.
The other half wanted to watch some ppv's the other day and this string made it past the ecms, So here you go if you want one tested. Remove it after event id's go above 16,100

I just put the card in after 30mins and it came back to let me do a switch check and all was back...unfortunately it only lasted 20 mins ( I took PPV off).
Trying it now (3pm Sunday) with new script from TCFD 1.18 which is suppose to have new blocker. Its back up, dont know for how long. Let you know how it goes.
