4700 JYF? or JTAG after ECM??? Success????

Has anyone been able to fix their 4700 rceiver after the ECM?

I have tried JYF - and my location id is still 0000000001
I have tried JTAG - all i get back in JKEYS is 0x0000000

If you were able to what did you do?

Here is what I did:

CARD OUT
Connect the SAT Signal
JUMP SB39 to SB40
Plug in the power
Wait 6 Seconds
Un JUMP SB39 to SB40 (With power still on)
-Light blinks
-light goes solid (~8 min)
-light blinks
System reboots
-system Info

Replay back with your results!!!!

hey man, yesterday I tried finding SB39/SB40 couldnt find damn pins for the life of me. Can you tell me where they are? also what are disadvantages of doing JYF. It seems easier to do this then jtagging, atleast in my case, i hook the damn jtag up, but all i get is 0x00000.

Hey buddy,
well I did the JYF, and thing worked out perfect. I did one thing different from your routine. I read somewhere else that wait until the LED starts to blink then remove the jumper. So I did that exactly. I first plugged SAT, jumpered, plugged POWER, waited for LED to blink, quickly remove jumper, and sit back for 10mins....power went off........turned on receiver, performed test switch, and I was up and running...... of course, while it was updated, I updated the MC with the new 2.2.10, which worked good for me.
