What does the DCU Peek error mean? I am trying to JTAG and I keep getting this error. It happens when I'm trying to read the memory. I heard somewhere that this might be a ground problem but I've already done 1 receiver with no problems and for some reason this 4900 is kicking my ass.

Anybody know what I might be doing wrong? I've JTAG'd numerous times with plenty of experience but this error is killing me.

try either the unplug and plugging back in and hit ok in 3 seconds or you may need to ground a pad

do you have a backup flash, before you starting playing with it?

If so , click flash - erase three times- and restore the original flash.

then you should be ok.

Right. I can't get into the flash programming if the thing wont turn on!!!!

I think it finally burned up. DAMNIT!

I just ran into the same problem with Rom 3. Could not get past the peak error. Just for fun stuck it back in ird and went to get a col brew. Heard the "click-click" Thought I was screwed. Pulled card, tried J-tag again and all went like it was supposed to. Don't know why it did it. Applied milis PB and for now all is well.
2800 ird with rom 3 plastic.

This is mostly a grounding error from what I have searched.Got another pc try it on another if possible. be sure to check your wires, my ground had worked a little loose causing my error.
