Here goes, I have a 301.013 dual tsop receiver. I installed a lock and now it has no power light. I have installed many locks with no problems, but this is the second receiver that I have installed this lock into, and both had similar problems. I got the first one back, this one is bad.
There is no power light. I have to put a jumper from r79 and pin 1 of jtag to ground to get jkeys to communicate. I have to select the model number in jkeys, it does not do it automatically. When I go to flash programming it says that it should show your ird part number and manufacturer. This does not show up, so I am dead in the water. Any ideas if there is anything else I can try? How about a place to repair it? I love working on these things and have read until my eyes are sore, but I have not found any other info on getting this thing back.
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks

I have seen a few 301-010's damaged by lock installs, mainly where the trace is cut. I have seen that trace burnt clean off of the board.
Point is, you can damage a board, you can damage the flash chips.
To trouble shoot, start by eliminating the lock, no need to uninstall it, just jump from we0 to we1, see if that gets your communication back, if it don't then totally unwire the lock wires from the board, you will still have to jump we0 and we1 to compensate for the trace cut.

I have totally removed the lock, added back in the resistor that I removed. So far this has not had any effect at all.

Anybody got any other suggestions?
Thanks

first, I made an error, your's is a dual tsop -013 not a -010, so my comments about a trace cut are not vaild, resistor removal is what's done to a -013.
that said.........

the receiver not showing any flash info means the flashes are not being detected, carefully check the resistor you replaced, it will not hurt to temporarily short the we0 and we1 locations to eliminate that possibility.

If the lock is bad, and has not worked in 2 different receivers, then there may be a problem with it shorting something it shouldn't and has caused other damage.

I think you are probably correct. I have checked the resistor, plus added a jumper from WE#0 to WE#1, but the exact same thing. One thing that hits me as odd is that when I start jkeys, I can hit the "Save Mem" button and it will read and save the memory. I can see the box keys and ird info on the first screen of jkeys. On the programming screen it does tell me mfg/device is 183/3180. This is on flash one, on flash 2 I get 7FFF/7FFF.
