has anyone tried looking at the STi Omega video decoder chips in the STB's, and see if we can spoof them , I have info on the STi5518FVC-X, don't know how to post it here.

What is a spoof? From memory, I believe all the sti55xx's support in circuit debugging. There is also an emulator floating around the net too. ;)

like the zkt mod they did on rca, make the video chip comparitors believe a valid compare

the nozkt mod had nothing to do with spoofing any decoding, it was simply an edit to the memory in the flash to bypass the zkt checks done with the cards.

The data sheet for the 5518 chip is or at least was posted in the DTV section.

the data sheet I'm refering to is the 294 page pdf marked confidential, looks like a leaked document

further investigation into this document I aquired seems to be vital secrets that should not of been relased from STi. Looks like an internal leak. Basically, it's a document I aquired on a site that was posted, then pulled off a site (3 minute duration) and I was fortunate to download it before it was pulled. This document is confidential. Don't know what to do with it, can't post it, it's a pdf of the STi 5518,,,,,,,,, 294 pages, what should I do with it??

I have the full 5508 and 5518 PDF datasheets, they are not that hard to get....get a datasheet for the 5516 and come back and let me know......that's the needed one right now.
Just looked again, I also have the 5500 datasheet, it's 288 pages.
