I know I have posted on this one before, but wanted to give it one more try. My 301.013 receiver with dual tsop is dead. I can not reflash the tsop at all. Tried grounding R79, no luck. I get no manufacturer info when I go to flash programming. Does anyone have any other ideas what I might try next, or am I done. I can save the memory on the first window of jkeys and I got the box keys, but can't reprogram the tsops.
Thanks

Why start a new thread to continue another discussion already started........makes everyone interested in helping have to go to the other thread to remember where we were at.
I would try another jkeys version before I gave up, get the 2.9.11 version.

Well, I had posted a response on the last thread and did not get any other responses. At this point I have been working on the receiver for quite some time, and wanted to try to get some more info. I know that you do not like more than one thread on a single topic, but when a person quits getting info what else is he to do?
By the way I have tried that version of jkeys, and nothing.

What error, exactly, do you get when going into flash programming??

Thanks for the reply, I am at work right, but there is no real error. After I get flash programming there is a screen telling you to turn off the power, apply power, and then hit ok before 2 seconds. I have tried doing it this way, and the way Gunther's Guide says to hit okay without resetting the power. I get the normal error screen, hit okay, and the programming screen comes up. The buttons on the top right to program are not lit up.

Does it give an error to the effect of FFF/FFFF(Jedec) FFFF/FFFF (Flash file)??
Or what normal error are you refferring to?

This is what I get: I start jkeys and it does not automatically detect the receiver. If I got down and manually select 301 receiver it then shows me some box keys. The box keys are almost correct. The last 4 numbers are off. I also get a an IRD number, but it is kind of the same. Some numbers are right and some are not. Now, I go to flash programming and get the screen saying turn off receiver, turn on, and press ok within 2 seconds. I get an error that says "The flash codes returned are not recognized by jkeys. Mfg/Device codes returned are 183/31B0(JEDEC) and 183/31B0 (flashfile). I go ahead and hit okay. I am now in the programming screen and it shows no part number in the flash info section. Manufacturer says unknown, and mfg/device says 183/31B0. The section for programming has nothing it up to select. I am guessing the omega chip is bad, it seems to be getting pretty warm.
Thanks

How warm is pretty warm? I have seen them get hot enough to burn your finger, it is that hot.........trash it.

No it will not burn you, but you can sure tell that it is heating up. It would be uncomfortable to hold your finger on it for very long

I would say is trashed then........it should get just barely warm

Kind of what I thought. I can replace this chip with equipment where I work. I will get a new one, as a matter of fact, I think we may have them in stock for some items we build. I will let you know if this fixes it.
Thanks again for sticking with me, it is truly appreciated.
