Check the solder job at SB35, sounds like you don't have a good connection...the wire may have 12v but not the trace...

I check the voltage on the tsop it self i think pin 11 or 12 and the voltage between this pin and ground is 12vdc, some how the chip is still protected, any other suggestion?/

Is it the AMD or ST chip?? AMD chips can be a pain on occasion.
When you try to erase it, and go to program, does it report flash not blank?

That's the start of the locked sector, for some reason, it's not unlocking.

I trust you are doing a vid mod to a single tsop 301-013. The address 7fffff40 is incorrect. You should be typing 7FFFFFAC. Here is what works for me a cut and paste for you.
The new 301.013 tsop is protected, you can't erase or write to it until you do the vid mod. The vidmod is a process where you input 12volts to the tsop to unprotect it, then, you can erase and write to it. Also, there is no need to change the 301.013 tsop to DAHA to accept other cards than the yellow one. Here are the steps:
1- Connect the jtag
2- Do the vidmod
3- Open jkeys
4- Click on flash programming
5- Reset the ird and click on ok
6- In the address section, write: 7FFFFFAC
7- Click on read, D500 will appear
8- Change it to 0000
9- Click on program, remove the vidmod
10- Enjoy!!! now you can use your atmega, roms & even your yellow card
im having same problem with a 2700..it programmes about 99% then stops at 7fffa00 or something like that..is there a way to force my 2800 ird to take my saved flash..also i get same thing erasing flash..it doesnt erase all of it...thanks all

R79 connection "puts the IRD to sleep" so the CPU isn't running and the jtag can take control of the data bus. After Jtagging, the Connection at R79 must be undone before the IRD will work. That is why it seems not to power back on, its really on but not running its programs, thus no boot or green light.

LOL, I didn't want to do a vidmod either, but that is what it takes to get it running, no way to write (or erase) the entire TSOP without the mod. I am speaking of a setup using one of the 3m files preloaded with IRD#.
There is a way to skip having to do a vidmod and jtag...... You have to have the original subbed card with the IRD (expired sub). There is threads posted on how to reactivate a expired sub card. Considering the card/ird pair is already married and has matching IRD#, only tier / sub / date info etc on the card only needs to be changed. Then a blocker is added so it does not de-subscribe again. Read up if this method sounds good to you, I have not tried it but it is confirmed a good method.

The vid mod, the actual physical vid modding, applies 12v to the tsop to allow erase/write proceedures to the entire tsop. Which was needed to zero location 7FFFFFAC for rom 10 card use, The Rom102toRom10, (and most other fixes) still needs the vid mod, cause you will need to erase and rewrite the same locked sector that contains the receiver number, boxkeys and other data.
7FFFFFAC does not need to be changed for the new fixes, the Rom10 emulates a Rom102, and is seen as a 102 by the receiver.
7FFFFFAC is how jkeys addressed the location to zero out for the Rom 10 card, in a hex editor, the actual location is 7FFFFFAD. Jkeys pulls 2 locations 7FFFFFAC and 7FFFFAD, reversed, D500, a hex editor will show 7FFFFFAC already zeroed, and 7FFFFFAD at 00 or D5. Now it don't matter.

I am having the same issue but with a dual tsop 301. I thought on the the singles had to be vid modded, anyone ever had to vid mod a dual tsop? Just checking before I do it.
Thanks
