I have music on my upstairs computer that I can play outside on the deck. The problem is I have to get up off of my fat lazy drunken ass and go upstairs to add music to the playlist. Does anyone know of a proggy that will allow me to operate musicmatch in the upstairs computer from my laptop on the deck ?????

You could just let the laptop access the upstairs pc through remote assistance . App is built into win xp.

GoToMyPc

also RealVNC works good and very small program for laptops.

I thought I could use win. xp remote assistance also, but when i tried, I could only control certain aspects of the upstairs machine. I looked at RealVNC and I think it's perfect for what I need. Remote Administrator looks good as well.
Thanks all, for your most valuable input in regards to this matter.
Michaellana.
Windows remote needs to be tweaked a little, you have to go into Users and set up super users and change settings and bunch of shit in the admin tools.
kinda risky.
real vnc works great it is small. loads fast and does everything pcanywhere does except transfer files and dial up connection.
If you are networked no need to transfer files, just share a folder on the network.
basically for your lazy ass...lol vnc will do the trick.
I use it on all mine here to unfuck the kids pc and the laptop at my convenience while I am sitting here. doing other things.
RADMIN worked good for me to until my crack ran out so I just started using vnc cause its free and works with so little resources. and high security so I dont worry about others peeking. no one can log on to you without you knowing it.
