A jtag is a parallel device, and jkeys must be set for that and the correct LPT address.
You don't say what receiver you are working with.....but generally speaking, grounding pad 1 of the jtag port will help.....

When you get this message:"resetting jtag interface" you are using the wrong Jkeys. Don't know which Jkeys you are using(if your like me you picked-probably a 2.9 version) one of the newer ones but that one and a couple other versions are set up for serial Jtags used on a serial port-there are interfaces you can install. The connection in the IRD is different ,my 3700 has both options as to where I want to hook the Jtag up on the board-haven't seen or really looked for info on how to hook up a Jtag for serial port operation. Most of the Jtag connections you see are for parallel operation-which I'm pretty sure you have-unfortunately the connection setup doesn't say for parallel-probably because the Jkey programs out 1st were for parallel operation with the proper Jkeys. The one I use(for parallel) and there are others is Jkeys 2.0.1 or 2.0.1a I think is out-that will work for you, find it and use it.

Not all Jtags have to be hooked up parallel-read the readme for Jkeys 2.9(its for serial operaton). All Jtags require the grounding. The LPT address in your cp is set for the standard and will work with any LPT hardware. There are probably programs out there that require a change-but not in this hoooy that I know of. People mess with those settings and only add more problems to their problem.

A jtag is a parrallel device, a jinterface is a serial device, which do you have....

I read your post, and if you know all about this stuff, what is your question??

I have successfully jtagged hunderds of receivers..
