301-013 won’t update

I have a 301-013 at P182 that willnot install the update via the stream.

When I hook it up I can go through the menu and run the check switches from the satellite setup, upon exiting it does the searching for satellite followed by downloading the firmware.

After the firmware is downloaded it does the “installing firmware, do not disturb” thing, and proceeds as normal. When it does the turn itself off reset thing at the end, it comes back up with the searching for satellite as though it had not done the update procedure. I had it running in this loop for almost 2 hours and it wouldn’t take the update.

I do not have a lock installed on this receiver yet.

Flash it with a virgin P055 DAHA(D), I posted one in the files section, use DAHA tsop and a DAHD eeprom.

or just reflash the eeprom i had the same problem yesterday , and i virginized the eeprom and erased sa 15 and it updated that way

I got a valid p201 eeprom and tsop for it (its a DANC build) and reflashed it.

The reciever now powers up and gets video but goes "there is a serious problem with your reciever error 151" after 3 minutes.

I have rewired the lock 5 times and tried 4 different locks (from perfectly working recievers)

Anyone have any idea what could be causing these 151 errors?

151 is almost always a lock install error. Triple check that there is not a problem with your install or the how-to you are following.

I reflashed to skinards p55 flash and its up and running without the 151 error.

Of course it still won't update, it goes through the downloading proceedure and says installing the updates, then turns itself on and off, not installing the downloaded update.

The exact same thing it was doing at p182

anyone have a p204 (current firmware version i think) that i can just toss onto this thing?

Sounds like the lock is not turning off, it must be off for the updates.....

The lock is off, didn't move the switch from when i wrote the firmware to the reciever using my jtag

When the lock is on i useually see the reciever lock up at the "Installing update" screen and not turn itself off as part of the resetting proceedure when installing the firmware.

I just copied the TSOP and EEPROM off of a known working and stable 301-013 (P205) i am back to getting the error message after 3 minutes like i was at version P201.

anyone have any ideas with this thing, its driving me mental and my buddy is calling 3 or 4 times a night about it, so i am about to go postal

I just removed the lock and replaced the resistor, and still receive the error 151 message.

Did anyone ever figure out an answer to the 151 without lock thing that I have seen questions about around the web?
