501 video mod?

Well I've been testing for a while now. Mostly with 301.13s. So now I want to move up So I found a 501 on ebay cheap. It is a refurb but new in the box. So it will most likely have a GT chip. So from what I've read I Should have to do a vid mod right? I s there a guide somewhere to help me do it. I've found one or two guides on 301.13s but nothing for a 501 refurb.one more thing there is a phone mod for the 301s 10s @13s desabling the modem so the caller ID will work,but it can't call dish Is there a mod like this for the 501?

yes, in the files section, called easzyvid mod or something like that.....misspelled too, but it's cool.

Not if it has a GT chip and 7FFFFFAC is not 0000........other wise yes......

I have never seen a 501 with a gt chip maybe you are talking about the 508.But then again i am wrong a lot (lol)

I just got :) Refurbished 501 with GT chip upgraded by dish and needs vid mod
