Bigger drive in 5900.

Has anyone tried putting in a bigger drive that the 120gig in a 5900?

I know it wouldn't be easy but is it possible?

Have you checked at dishmod?? they specalize in PVR harddrive stuff.......
I see 2 problems, 1........ the drive would not be listed in the flash, so you would need to edit it in, and 2......... I don't think you would actually gain any record time.

Sort of like resizing a 120 gig to make a dish 510 PVR work with a blue card, you can set it to 90 gig instaed of 80, but it will only get the record time of an 80 gig.

is it a flash issue that stops the ird from recognizing the extra space?

any idea?

I am sure it's coded into the flash, everything is, but where or how??
