How big is windowsXP Pro installed on the hard drive? I know it's 488Mb on CD, but what does it expand to upon installation?

1.2 gb full fpr pro thats with sp2 and without office.
you can cut it down a bit with custom install but it is still around 1gb.
What I do on some is burn the i386 off the cd to a directory and then only insall what I need . If I need to add snap ins or ISS stuff I have the i386 file already there so I dont have to load the cd

....this one's for a laptop. Only a 10Gig HD on the thing. Still, it's pretty clear I didn't get all the old stuff off first.

I thought it was about 1.5Gig, but never really checked that close. It's for sure smaller than the 4Gig my last install is taking up. I did a double install or something to that effect. I'm working with a hacked copy of XP for the first time. Need to figure out how to use it I guess. May have to hit smilingjack up for some advice. Been messing with this off and on for a couple days. Maybe I'll just install my legit copy this time around. I know I can get that version installed properly.
