i am thinking of getting a blackbird and was wondering if it is worth it since this whole nagra2 thing will it affect the blackbird should i wait or what.

Save your money.I have a Blackbird and it has lost all the channels that Bev switched to Nagra 2.I expect the same will happen with Dish.It will be a pretty expensive doorstop.
