Does it matter if I have a corrupt eeprom???

I was able to go from software version 797PCASA-F to 833PCASA-F on my 2800. I believe the "-F" means a corrupt epprom, but i'm still able to use the receiver.


Any significance to this??

f = FLAGGED
yes you can fix it by reflashing with the proper virgin eprom

But why do I need to fix it if it's working ok?
