Hi i heard that on 16 april dish netwrok will implement changes by which we will losse access to free stuff. Only yellow subscribed card will work and all rom 3,10,11 will die. Even all FTA reciever become dead.

Is this a rumour or its true.

The date seems to be right for Bell, I doubt dish will be that soon but who know?

No it is not. That date is for BEV. Dish is the first quarter of 2006

Hi mili thanks for prompt reply. One of my friend has dishnetwroks reciever and i have FTA reciever. He told me that there is contineous ad on dishnetwork that no blue card will work from 16th of april. And everybody must have to have yellow accesscard if they want to see channells after 16th april on dishnet. Does any body saw this kind of ad on dishnetworks.

A friend of mine has a business and has a subscription with dish , using 301.010 and has not received the new yellow card yet.

My friend just recieved his new Bev cards and when he activated them the operator told hime that all old rom cards will no longer work after April 16.

Good luck to Dish to get the swap done by April 16.

IMO, There is just no way, late 2005 early 2006 is more realistic

it is true for international channels. they will drop sections at at time like Bev are currently doing.

Ajmeri - Your friend has got the date mixed up I think. It is March 16 and it is only for Indian channels and maybe some other International Channels not everything.

Hawk25 - End is not near for most channels, but March 16th is probably pretty close to when we will lose the international channels that display the message to change your card.

Well look at when BEV turned porn off? That was months ago and they are still not finished with their swap. That 6 months sounds perfectly feasible to me.

It's not USELESS HARDWARE. N2 hack is available. Not to public, but its out. It will be out when everything is gone to N2.

Yes,but thats what was said when Direct Tv went down.Everyone had a hack!! I,m hoping a long term work around appears. In the mean time I do sub to dish. We had a great run!!! I'm 40 and I've had some sort of free tv for 30 years!!!I climbed the pole outside my house when I was 10 years old.That was for free cable.If it's over it's over too bad. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
