BitTorrent newbie?

Figured I give BT a try tonight only to be very disappointed. I got the client, I tried several search sites for torrnt files
The shit just sits there not even beginning to download. What torrent serever actually provide seeds that can be downloaded?

Also keep in mind that what you want is the MOST active download, not the least, because Bit Torrent lets you download from every person who is downloading if they have parts of the file that you don't.

somebody in this fourm hooked me up with limewire pro 4.8.1. No torrents needed. It works great and have got a ton of programs from it.

This shit does nothing. Just sits there for hours nothing downloads. I got ports open and forwarded to my PC and still nothing, see the attached screenshot.

Something is fucked on my end. Even though I opened the port for shareza it does not download one bit. Look at teh scree shot. Nothing moves.

get into DC++,,in private rooms,,i can browse over 100 TB's,,,all the people there go to MirC and do torrents ,,,is best i have found ,and i trade on avg,700 meg files

A lot of the Gnuetella net software will give you false locations and file counts. I usually stick with.

If you are running XP sp2 you will need to adjust your maximum concurrent connection from 10 to atleast 50 for most p2p software to work well.
