I was reading a few other forums on the internet were i found a link to this site, www.dishstar.tv who claim to have a hack for N2. I dont really believe this but is anyone willing to spend a few hundred on seeing it for them selfs?
Also i have another question, what exactly is the process of hacking the N2 system. Hypothetically speaking what if i had good programming skills, alot of free time and 4-5 friends willing to spend alot of time with this. What do we have to do and learn before we can start doing this? Are there any articles on similar things to this which we could learn from.

Thanks

When you see Mili claiming there is a N2 hack, then it exists. Until then, assume everything you hear about or see of this nature to be a scam. I'm thinking when Mili gets back later tonight I'm gonna ask him to set up a unsubstantiated N2 hack forum.

Well said JT, and a unsubstantiated N2 hack forum would be good for weeding through all the crap and keeping people informed.

....guess the price will go up once they got us by the balls like cable.

And that my friend is my biggest fear. I honestly do beleive that legit subscribers, in a weird round about way anyway, owe all us hackers a thank you. The higher the cost for a basic subscription go, the more users are inspired to seek alternative methods to receive programming. It's that simple. It's DTV's BS that pushed me into the hobby. (Dish net wasn't even an option when I got started. It was DTV and USSB. You had to subscribe to each seperately, never ran C-band) My prediction is that if there is no means of hacking any type of satellite signal, that within 18 months, the basic subscription packages for both Dave and Charlie will be almost double what they cost now. These guys are huge cooperations based in the United States. It's not reasonable to expect anything less from them.

What keeps the basic satellite service package price in check is not the number of hackers out there, it is simple economics. The satellite providers have been traditionally in competition with the cable companies.

No matter how large Directv and Dishnetwork become, there will always be competition from cable which is for the most part owned by the telephone companies.

I doubt that the cost will double if the satellite giants become unhackable, they will charge what the market will bear, and if their prices exceed digital cable in a particular area, they will lose market share to digital cable, pure and simple.

The CMG is investigating it too. If it's not legit.. I bet Dripper shuts em down.. hahahaha.

I'm sure your right on the price increase. Direct Tv increased the prices after rolling out the p4 . I'm sure it was based on the fact they had so many more paid subscriptions.Like gas the price seems to go up in the summer when people are doing the most traveling. This always made sense to me!I've been self employed for 9 years.Rule number one is when the demand for your product increases so does the price. When demand decreases lower the price.

This is the law of supply and demand!
