Where is the eeprom chip in the 3100.010 receiver? I was looking for an 8 pins chip with 24LC16B written on it and can't find it. Any help would be appreciated.

It might have WG written on it instead!

Nothing with a WG. I have an 8 pins chip just behind the card slot with UC3842BN written on it. I sure would like to lock it up at the same time I'm doing my tsop lock. But I can't lock it if I can't find it!

Youre in the wrong place
Go up to the top centre,look for C136 ,eeprom should be to left of it...look around for 8 legged chip.Look at this ,from bottom where rca outlets are ,the one on the left,in the centre of ird,go up about 3 inches and the eeprom is right there.

Yes! I have one 2416W6.Thanks a lot guys!! The pictures are great.No need to call echo. now. If I could just lock it up without screwing it up.
