Can any one out here tell me how to get my locals
I know they are avalible to subs. zip is 49684.

What's the nearest local your trying to get? Most of us have no idea where zip codes are unless we live near them.

First, you'll need a 121 Superdish to grab the locals, since they're on the 121 sat.
If you don't have one, then you can try adding an old primestar dish and FSS Ku LNB into a legacy switch (or 2) with the feeds from the dish you have already. It can be a little tricky, but if pointed AND wired correctly you can pick up the 121 or 105 satellite.

If you have a Superdish (or substitute) pointed and ready to go, then here's all you'll need to get those locals.

Not all the locals require the use of a superdish. Without counting, I would guess that about half of them are on 110 or 119. Just about any of the tier maker programs will generate a local string for you and tell you how to adjust your blackout string for remapping.

well If it is that complacated I don't need them lol stay with the old antenna. Thanks guys whats it look like as far as dish and the rom 10 how much longer we got any guess

What's your local and and tell you if you need to bother with a new dish and all that. You may not need to do anything other than add a tier to your rom.

Traverse city Micigan is where we are he all any one with a guess how long we got left with rom 10

Looks like Grand Rapids is your closest 'local'. It's on the 119 bird. If your running a rom card, add this string:

If your running a MC, use this tier:
17B2-17C6

Either way, change the last byte of your blackout string to 16 for remapping those locals to channels 2-99. Otherwise, you will only get them on channels 8710-8721.

You can read around for guesses as to how much longer blue roms will work. They are just guesses. Only thing we know for sure is we will loose all nudie channels next month. 492/496 are gone 4/6, 493/494/495 gone 4/13 and 497 gone 4/20.
