I did the eeprom lock first and as I was doing the tsop lock I noticed a loose wire. It was the wire from pin 7, it broke off at the chip. Anyway I can recover?

Ok you have 2 options in this matter,
1) Use a dremel tool to scrap away some of the coating on the chip enough to be able to solder wire to it
2)Buy a new eeprom chip and replace it.

Thanks Darnat, I used the point on my hobby knife to chip around the pin, then with the board on it's side and using gravity and lots of sweat, I was able to put a small amount of solder on what's left of the pin. Talk about testing... testing my nerves, I'm glad I dont do this for a living. I pluged in my IRD with my fingers crossed, no smoke, light comes on and it looks like I'm ready for more testing. Men what a day, thanks again for your quick reply.
