Coolsat 4000 Quirks in setup
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I got a coolsat 4000 yesterday and I am having trouble with diseqc set up.. I can't find a guide on this subject. I am useing a 4x4 switch and am only set up dish wise for 110 and 119 (6,8 & 7). Two problems present themselves now. One what are the proper Diseqc settings. This reciever also has a new choice called Committed. Under the choice of commited you can choose 1, 2, 3, or 4. The diseqc has three choices, Off, 1.o, and 1.0/1.1. If you choose 1.0/1.1 you get an additional choice below commited that being uncommited. What to do? What to choose? Their is ofcourse power to LNB, which dose affect how 6,8 works for me. 7 has had fewer problems. I am sure there are ways to straighten this out. And problem 2 the channel guides. Can we only use ADD@82,97_11022004.NDF or is there a way to use Gtools 1.85 and some other Channel lists. I have tried to do a sat scan and though while it recieves the lists from the sat showing the regular channels downloading when it is done I can't find them. It only changes the order of some of the ones that came with ADD@82.......... Quit a mystery.
As with life it seems to always come down to connections and settings.
Does anyone have any help to offer. While I see the 4000's advantages it is certainly not as easy to set up as a Pansat 2500.
