Firmware Po79

I have a unit that the tag is DC8D but my firmware is a P223. How can I get the firmware P079? I need it to remarry the HDD that I dropped down to 80 GB and zero it.

Have you checked the tsop bank in the files section??

You really don't need DC8A to get it to marry, any P079 or P080, "moved ird info" flash edit type flash, should marry it, then flash it back to DC8A P223 with a virgin DC8D eeprom and stream it...

In flash edit......there are 3 selections for 501/508/5100/5800

1.....501/508/5100

2.... "moved bootstrap"

3....."moved ird info"

the virgin flash must open correctly under the moved ird info selection.
The other 2 will return bad numbers......

To use a 510 for dish, you effectively make it into a 508.
