Wall: ID code is missing

I guess I killed my 301 trying to erase and flash both flashes. It is sitting here and no lights are blin king. Thought I'd try WALL to reease and flash but wall comes up and says "ID code is missing" There are all "FFFF" in the id code. Does this program have to be purchased to use it? Thanks

no the program does not need to be purchased. download gunthers resurection guide. read it very carefully and then do it folowing each step very carefully. the 301 's are very persnickity so to speak. my really first frustrating time was with the 301's. once you get one the rest follow pretty simple. by your join date you been around awhile. so you know help is here. dont be put off if it does not detect the flash part #. it does not necassarily mean it is dead. just gonna be a bigger pain in the butt to do. you can do it just frustrating. search skinerds posts on the 301's very helpful in bringin em back from the dead
