Hi all:
I have 2 questions, I know there are posts that say how to convert Bev to Dish, but from what I have seen I still am not sure on how to do it. Where do I find the step by step on how to do this? The other question, I have a FTA receiver and was wondering if I hook up the sat line ( which is pointing to Dish ) into the Bev receiver and program my MC in Camless mode to pick up Dish, will I receive Dish programming? If this is in the wrong forum, I apologize. If so, please move to the correct forum.
Thanks

Go there, read, and do the sector erase to your Bev receiver. Then hook your receiver up to the dish that is pointed towards the Dish satellites. Let it update and then program your MC to camless mode to pick up Dish.

Quick Question
I have went in and erased the SA3 sector off my IRD (I have a older 3100 010) and hooked it back up to the stream.
All I on my guide is channel 100; 103 (previews); 156; and 2 9000 channels. The only one that works is the 103. And my guide still says bell.
Did I do something wrong, or am I ok so far and have to do something with my card?
Thanks

Would these instructions listed in the above convert.html apply to the opposite?
With another words I have a 301 receiver from bell (I have a legal subscription) and I still want to see Bell, with my old DISH net receiver 4700. The reason is that I have all the Dolby Digital in my old 4700 receiver from DISH. All I have to do is match the keys from the 301 to the 4700. Just wanted to know if the memory flash will be the same.
Any help isgreatly apreciated.
Thanks.

Yes you can make the IRD's the same IRD # and the same box key #'s.
The flashed will be different which does not matter to the numbers.
The 4700-4900 has a single small flash, the 301.10 -3100-10 have dual large flashes.
The changes are usually made the same either way. Just erase the SA 3 for the 301 for a ECM fix and SA 30 for the 4700-4900 and it will take the firmware for whatever the dish is pointed at.
There may be a problem with the 4700, some of them will not change just by doing the ECM fix and you have to put a full 4700 flash for Bev and a full 4900 flash for dish.
