 Hi guys, Is there some kind of trick to Jatag a 301-010. I used the standard 2-3-4-5-13 with 18-25 ground. I soldered to in order pad 3-4-5-6-7, and hooked ground to pad 16. I also tried without pad 16. I tried with 18-25 grounded to the case, grounded to pad 16, and both. Jkeys won't show my IRD. I am using Jkeys by D2. I have jataged multipule 301-013's, and a couple of 2800's, without any problem. Oh by the way I hard wired them all from the bottom. I have tried the topside on this 301-010 also. Am I supose to ground something else like on the 013 with the R79 pin. Any help would be great.

If you are jtagging from the top........1,3,4,7,9 are the correct pads.....

______9_7____3_1
X_X_X_2_3_X__4_5

G_X_G_X_X_X_13_X
_____________4_X

12 and 16 are ground

5 and 13 may be swapped......I forget :0

Thanks Skinerd. I am on the bottom right now. So the blue font is the topside, and the white font is the bottom, correct? I obviously have been reading the wrong downloads for the 301-010. I have seen all different jtags for the 301. Since I'm on the bottom I'll work from here. Just one more question. Do I connect both grounds to 18-25, and ground 18-25 to the case?

On the bottom?? Where the square pads or the round ones??
The diagram is for the round ones.
The color font is the number of the pads, the other numbers are the lpt port numbers.
If you are on the square ones, one whole row is ground......

Hello Bigbronco
Have you got the jtag 301.010 working, I couldn't get it working, no matter what I try, I read and search the forum to collect as much info as I can to make my simple jtag works with the 301.010, I can simple jtag 2700,301.013, 501,508 with no problem even with the 510 with no jtag pads.
If you already got it worked , please share. I spend almost a month with the 301.010 but no luck yet.
Thank you

LYLY I Jtaged it today. I used a buffered Jtag on the topside.

I soldered header pins on the pads. Soldered header pins on the Jtag wires. I then placed computer jumpers like the ones you use for changing a hard drive from master to slave. This way I can use the jtag on other units. I have always hard wired the simple jtags in, and let it hang out the back.

This is the pad configuration I used. Worked first time.

Rear

X 5 X X X X X X

13 4 X 3 2 X X X

Front

LPT port pins
2 - TMS
3 - TCK
4 - TDI
5 - TRST
13 - TDO

Hope this helps, good luck. :)
