Password Problem help please

Hi

I got a 3700 receiver from a friend but it has the password activated and my friend does not remember the password he used How can I erase the password?

Memory dump will get rid of it..... Menu, 6, 3, Info, Right Arrow, Left Arrow, Tv Video, you will see a corrupt screen unplug ird plug back in after 15 secs password should be cleared.... :)
