I have a co-worker that I have suspected (for years) is entering my real email address into web page forms that generate SPAM. Why do I suspect him? The names he chooses are suspiciously similar to names we both know. Strange combinations of peoples names from the past and those we both currently work with from all over our companies employee list. First name of a guy from 20 years ago with the last name from a current female co-worker - that type of thing. Some of the names are really obscure, some being the only ones in this small town. NEVER has his ever popped up. I know it sounds paranoic, but I REALLY think he's doing it. Without proof, I'm sitting on an email address I've had since Christ was a corporal, getting 200+ SPAM emails a day. I do use two other email addresses that I have protected rather well.
Today he f*cked up and forgot to 'munge' his real email on a newsgroup.
How can I 'get' him back and keep under the radar? Anybody got any ideas?
Library? What?
