comcast cable letter

My buddy bought 6 cable descramblers 3 years ago and received a letter from them(comcast cable) that if he didn't contact them in 10 day they would take action in court. Do you think he should respond or wait for a suppena????
If he calls he is kinda of addmitting to buying---maybe he could say he paid and they never ship the units???? any advice would help

Call back and say "What the fuck are you talking about?" Better than not calling at all.

I'd ignore it until it becomes an official suppeona. Most of the time with these letters like this they are just phishing for info. If they had something concrete the first you would have heard about it would have been a supoena.

in the letter it appears they got the info from the seller, as the used his name in the letter, i think they siezed his records, but don't they still have to prove i received and used it?
