A new concept in Pay TV is on the horizon. It will be marketed the same way as Cell Phone, Pre-Pay Use. This deal is not intended to replace subscription TV, but to capture more of the market from low income families who can't afford month-to-month service on a regular basis.
Cable Companies & Satellite Providers will offer the service through independent franchised retailers. Programming will be tailored to the taste of the Pre-Paid Subscriber for premium programming. This means that if the Subscriber who would like to watch a sporting event, such as an HBO or a Show Time fight that is a regular event, the Subscriber can purchase that event which would be competitive to renting a movie. Basically all programming will be on a pay per view basis.
A leading electronics firm in China is said to have developed the technology and the equipment needed and can be integrated to work with current cable descramblers and satellite receivers. It is rumored that Wal-Mart is a major inverter in this new innovation.

So wall mart is taking over the testing market. They must have been really upset about selling all those charlie and dave systems and not making a single commission.

Well, think about it this way... GAS is going to $5.00 a gallon soon! Even Wal-Mart's [Murphy Gas] can only give you 3 cents off per gallon. Only the [RICH] can afford to drive to Wal-Mart... But the [RICH] don't shop at Wal-Mart, so Wal-Mart will need to look at new investment opportunities and China can give this to them, without China, Wal-Mart would be in the shit house now!

HEY GUYS THIS IS DISH ON DEMAND
Dish has the same thing, if you get a IRD at a swap meet and hook it up it converts the card to dish on demand, you can pay as you go with that.

Wal mart is already in the shithouse. The septic tank is full it just hasn’t backed up into the house yet.
They have a false sense of security in forcing suppliers to produce their products in China and supply them. If you refuse wal mart quits buying from you and you go out of business.
When the China bubble bursts wal mart expects the suppliers to take the brunt of the blowup. They go under right and left while wal mart goes on. At that point wal mart likely plans on picking up a lot of brand names at discount prices. Then self supply. It's a recipe for disaster if handled improperly. Personally I don't think the management at wal mart has the brains or ability to handle the end game of this strategy.
Sears tried something similar and it blew up in their faces. For Sears at least they had the sense to jump off the sinking boat and get back to the basics that made them successful.
I am speaking of the two major brands that were the backbone of Sears. The Craftsman tool line and the Kenmore brand name. For several years they tried crap at a cheap price instead of quality at a fair price. Damn near ruined them. While Craftsman tools never reached the quality of lines like MAC. They were however very good quality for the average backyard mechanic. Any time I needed a tool I bought it at sears. Only had to buy it once and never again. If it breaks no problem go to sears and get another one free.
Then I started seeing the craftsman name on very poor quality tools. Not only that in the small print things like a 90-day limited warranty on craftsman wrenches and screwdrivers. At that point I quit buying from sears for about 5 years. They corrected that now and have gone back to what brought in the customers.
That is the kind of thing wal mart will never see or believe is happening. Too big and arrogant to see what's happening. What they are doing to suppliers alone will ruin them. There are a lot of name brand products you never see in a wal mart. Why? Those companies have been around the block and see what's happening. They have seen it before and decided it's best for them not to jump on the bandwagon. It's just not worth loosing the company for huge increases in sales. Its called corporate responsibility. Something Wal Mart has never understood or practiced.

Well I don't think any of that is going to hurt old wally world.
It's to dam big.
If one company goes out of business they buy from another
Or start their own company to make it.
People don't seem to realize that it's not like a small store that has 5 or 6 suppliers / products, wally has thousands, they could drop dozens of products and hardly notice it.
What I want to know is why they are always cutting prices since they always advertise they have the lowest prices to begin with ?
Fucking prices were not so low............ since they could lower them again !
IT'S CHEAP...WHO CARES IF IT FALLS APART NEXT WEEK I SAVED MONEY

Jack my friend you are correct! I just knew you would come up with a brilliant idea for Mili and all the members of this forum that are going to be in the [Shit House Soon], due to Charley deciding to be a, prick - dick - fuck about testing his stream. Mili will just have to start a new business... Mili's Best Satellite, LTD. Charge a $100.00 per month, all open and no yearly contracts. :)
If Mili plays the cards right, it should be a multi-million dollar business in a year. Dave and Charley will surely go broke or a major price war will start, just like it was 40 years ago when Gas Price Wars were so popular. I will have my attorney draw up the corporation papers Monday. Mili forum members will be first in-line for positions that need filling... You can be the Moderator Jack! :)

Look at the bright side, carck the card, get the N2 code and a way you go!!!
I meaa, the code will have to be pre loaded to the card seeing that not all uses are N2 ready, it's just a mater of IRD and card hand shaking with the strem code!
Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, gimme one of those damn cards, I'll stick it in my ISO programer!

ive actualy been on board with wally world as a duty manager for nearly a year now!
while im greatful for the employment oppurtunity and decent wage, i agree with you guys to a point. Wally world is NOT a big company they are a MONSTER size company! how big?? well.............biggest company in the world. FACT!
UN-fortunately, walmart gets a ton of bad press. easy target i suppose! while NOT all of the rumors are true regarding wallyworld. they do sell alot of products at what they call a "LOST LITRE." in other words they will purposely sell certain items for LESS then they pay for them just to get people in the store. items such as dairly, milk, cheese, cereal , pepsi etc...... good game plan i suppose, as most people arent going to drive 5 miles just for pepsi. chances are while they are getting pepsi they will grab other products as well.
Wallyworld does sell alot of JUNK, no secret there! one thing that amazed me about the company is they actualy announce daily sales to ALL accoicates every morning just before opening. cant name alot of companies that are eager to share sale totals with all employees.
and you are also 100% correct. NO second chances with sellers in walmart. i recall last winter one of the truck companies that delivers the daily 1900 peice truck full of products couldnt get through due to snow conditions just before xmas. without hesitation, that truck company was NO longer a carrier!
its my GUT feeling that Walmart's destruction will be the exact SAME thing that killed K-mart when they were at the top in the 80's. that is, the company will just grow too big and out of control! you can only set up so many stores before UNION kicks down the door. look what happened in Quebec. the 1st Walmart to go union. within 2 months Walmart CLOSED that store. Wallyworld claims its because the store wasn't very profitable to begin with. can't fool the public though! IF that store had stayed union and other stores follow, then walmart has NO choice to up their prices as their full time employees would then be receiving Union wages.
dont get me wrong, wallyworld does do alot of good things. always 2 sides to every argument
A&E runns a 2 hour special every now and then called "the age of walmart" realy an UN-biased and excellent documentary. alot of so called experts feel walmarts size will kill them

Well Wal-Mart is not doing anything that has not been done before.
They are just doing it on a larger scale.
Every large company is a target for someone or some group. The bigger they are the more people want to rag on them.
As far as selling things for less than they paid for things, that's been done for a hundred years. The old name was "LOSS LEADER" meanung the LEADER or firts item in a advertisment was sold for less than it cost them, yep, to get people in the store. Where they will as you said spend more money on other things since they are already there, thats the idea behind ANY SALE.
As far as selling JUNK, popular demand, they want a TV or DVD and they don't want to pay the price for a good american made one, so they buy junk from japan or tiwan. This nforces american makers to lower their prices (and quality) to compete, NOT a Wal-Mart idea, before there was a Wal Mart or K-Mart (originaly Kerskies .05 and .10 stores) Places like FORD needed a cheap radio and told Philco then a major brand name in TV and Radios to get cheap or get out. Philco made the radio parts in the U.S. shipped them to Korea where they were assembled then shipped them to FORD. Soon after Korea learned to make their own partys and went into competition with Philco and Philco had to sell out to ford or go bankrupt. Now it's Philco-Ford on the label.
As far as clothers and such, americans NEED to have new things so they buy something cheap they don't mind replacing every year or two. Nothing gets fixed anymore, it is not worth it. A TV Repairman charges $ 50 to $ 75 a hour to fix a old TV.......A new Tv is $ 75 to $ 100. Why bother when you can have the latest and newest one from Wally for $ 25 or less.
Clother are the same way, When I used to get Levi's I figured on having them for years, not they feel that 5 or 6 months is long enough so instead of buying a good original pair for $ 50 they buy the Wally blue light special Levi for $ 14.95
UNions are on the way out. Jimmy Hoffa's death (?) was the end of a ERA. They have outlived their usefulness and are becoming toothless drinking parties. Between better wages and working conditions offered by NON-Union places and the Union officers stealing from the members and not supporting them the unions are about finished.
Wally started making the things it sells because it could not get what it wanted for a price it wanted, but it could invest in opening a plant and makeing what it wanted, and still save / make more money. Sometimes this even had a side effect of creating jobs here to make things that were made in other countrys before. (Can you see where the money was going from this right into a few pockets that had Tiwaneese make it in their name, wal mart sell it and it and pocket the difference that would have gone to american workers.
I think if Wal-Mart can keep moving manufacturing back into the U.S. instead of buying from overseas AND still keep the price down, we should all buy from Wal-Mart instead of buying from a couple of rich companies that have it all made in Japan or China, screw BIG Companies and Unions with their $ 20 a hour wage demands that move manufacturing jobs to china and leave the few working union members living high off the hog and their un-employed neighbors starve. MAKE IT HERE - BUY IT HERE - USE IT HERE
DO LIKE MEXICO AND OTHER COUNTRYS-----100% IMPORT TAX
You don't see american goods selling over there.
P.S. That woould stop foriegn sweat shops and foreign child labor and Chinese prisoner labor making goods shipped here too
I relinquish the soap box, go wally
