Fortec Star Ultra Lifetime

I have a fortecstar ultra lifetime reciever. I had it working and then suddenly it went out about a month or so ago. I know I have signal, but no channels in the lineup. Someone told me that the keys needed to be updated or they had gone bad. Is that the case or is there some other problem.

If the keys are the problem, how can I get those updated. Do I need some hardware to do the job, or is it something more simple. Any advise would help. I have been looking around the forum, yet nothing to fit this problem with this receiver. Can someone help me out. thanks

The dish keys have been changing every day.
Every tme the keys change you lose the channels.
There are new programs you can put in that will change the keys for FTA's.
You need to read a lot here and then come around when someone from FTA is around to help you out.
