c band question

hey guys whats up with c band do you get the same channels as dave for free to , you know ppv porn hbo's skinamax those one's . let me know if anyone has any info i'm lookin to buy it. thanks

No C-Band is altogether different . I have a 10 foot mesh c-band dish and the only thing I get is any/ and all wild feeds and any/ and all free to air that is unscrambled channels from any satellite I lock on to. You would have to change your c-band LNB to a dual band consisting of a c-band and Ku band lnb. This way you can keep your C-band programs and switch to your ku-band which can be used just like you do the Dave deal. I am still experimenting with this theory (Hobby)Example My C-Band unit has a Uniden receiver and a motorized aculator (ARM) and I am programmed to pick up various satellites (Example G5)but if I switch boxes from the Uniden to My Lifetime Ultra it detects nothing, so that lets me know that the C-band lnb is not compatible with my LifeTime Ultra . When the wind dies down and it stops snowing I will be changing the single lnb to the dual lnb and start on my quest!! Have a Great Day!!

If I were to put it back up and get a Ku LNB is there more there?? I would REALLY love to be able to get NASCAR live feeds again.

Nascar has live and back feeds for practices and stuff that never makes the air ezcept as back ground and fill ins. This place has the whole schdule posted.

I did some more digging after posting that and came across the same page. It also said that apart from practice etc the race etc. is all scrambled:(

Thats a shame because I don't care what sporting event it is....it looks a helluva lot better without commercials to break it up...and getting to hear what the commentators REALLY think is pretty cool too.

I have also done some looking on wildfeeds in general...long story short...I can't see muchpoint in putting up the BUD again for Ku or C band at this point....too much effort for too little return :(

I don't know unless you dug that pole out of all that concerete and it's gone (which would be the hard part to replace) it's only a couple hours work to put it back togeather.

I took the electronics off, sprayed the dish with cosmoline, laid the it down and covered it up. The rest is in a closet with the Dave stuff. Cables are still buried with the ends there under the dish wrapped up in grease rags.

The 10' just took up too much room to justify the benifit though ....and I still have my N2 hopes ;)
