I just got the following e-mail from a company that I have known and have bought from for over a year:

"This is to inform you that there will be a shortage on the market for the ATMEGA cards! this is due to the ROM3 and ROM10 cards that will be phased out by the upcomming new nagra2 software.
The ATMEGA NAGRA2 code will be released for beta testing in the next weeks.As of this tuesday there will be a 2-3 week shipping delay. We will ship ALL orders according to the order date.
We currently have a limited supply so we will ship on a First come First serve basis."

These people have been in the Sat biz for many years and if they say it you can go to the bank on it! I have left off their name from this posting because I don't want this posting trashed! I am not advertising for them. I just want to let every one know that there is still hope!!

As you know from the bogus spam we sent you, the 19023456438yusostupid chip is very rare and hard to get, so thats why we are charging $300.00 for them.
As of this tuesday there will be a 2-3 week shipping delay.
The shipping delay is bogus of course, but it will give us time to scam you out of your money and haul ass before you can do a charge back or turn us in for fraud.

GATOR.............post the name of the site.....links are ok, so we can go check these incredible folks out....I'll bet you 50:1 odds they will not respond to any mod from here for a request for some type of verification, (which would help their sales tremendously)......no-one else has.
I mean if you said that you got one of these working, not too many would find it very credible, but if mili or myself or another mod did, well they would sell thousands.....but it ain't gonna happen.

No where did they state they are selling a NEW ATMEGA CARD. Only that a NEW ATMEGA NAGRA 2 software for testing would being coming out in the next few weeks. They also stated there is a shortage and there will be a delay in shipping. I do NOT have any hack for N2 yet but I am sure now that someone will have it real soon. Mili or any of the MODs here can "check them out"! Let me look into the future...I see a NEW MAGIC CARD 3 coming out soon since the MC1 & 2 can't work with N2. There are some real experts are saying that the ATMEGA cards can or may work with N2.
I have nothing againest anyone here. I just wanted to inform my fellow testers. The truth can't hurt but when there is money to be made the truth might hurt some! The TRUTH is that there are a LOT OF FIRE SALES going on right now for MAGIC CARDS #1 & #2...but lets not cloud the issues!!!

Hmmm, let me see. If i had a piece of hardware for sale for 34.95 today that would work in a couple weeks with the new stream, would i :
a) sell them now at 34.95
b) sit on them for a couple weeks till they could be proven to work and charge 3 or 4 times more for them
c) spam people and tell them that new software will make them work, and try to rush them into buying them with bogus shortage rumors, so that we could unload these devices that will be useless in a month or so.

bs man....they wont crack nagra at least for another year...........this situation reminds me when dirct tv did their card swap.....everybody claimed a fix but where is it? a year went by but nothing yet.....
dont forget nagra2 has been in europe for almost a year and they havent found a crack yet and belive me they are more advanced there in sorfware programing than here in north america......
all the programs that we use to read nagra2 came from spain.........nobody developed anything here.......
so when europe cracks nagra2 only then we will be able to get it

First you must be able to peogram a card before you can emulate it think about it "" how can u emulate it if u cant understand it first to program it LOL

Boy you people can't get the point. So lets try one more time. Please enter the door marked "READING FOR DUMMIES":

Item # 1:
The Magic cards #1 & #2 do not/will not work with the N2 stream maybe that's why the price of the MAGIC #2 has fallen to a new low price of $49.00. The ATmega cards have been selling for a lot lower price then $49.00 for a long time. So who is having a FIRE SALE???

Item #2:
"The ATmega NAGRA2 code will be released for beta testing in the next weeks." Not a new ATmega Card but a NEW CODE (software). Which sounds like good news to me.

Item #3:
"As of this tuesday there will be a 2-3 week shipping delay." This is due to the fact that there is a shortage of ATmega (DUAL MODE) cards. The same thing happen with the Casper cards, Rev card and the Magic#2 cards as I recall.

Item #4:
"We currently have a limited supply so we will ship on a First come First serve basis."
That is an easy one...if you WANT to buy an ATmega (Dual Mode) card they have a limited supply on hand to sell. When they are gone you'll have to wait 2 or 3 weeks maybe longer to get one. The clue here is if you want one. I have three of the dual mode (PLL & crystal) ATmega cards and I would not sell them. Just try and find one today they are very rare and in high demand.

Item #5:
The last item is that there is HOPE...just that maybe a Hack for the N2 is near. Which would you like to be holding in your hand a MAGIC CARD #2 that will NOT work with N2 or an ATmega card that MAY work with just a new programming software which for the most part has always been FREE! Only time will tell but we have to keep our minds open and we will see who is right. I own 3 Magic Cards #1 and 3 ATmega Dual mode cards which do you think are in the bottom of my desk drawer collecting dust.

Time will tell. Sales are down all over and some people are trying to boost them and give people hope.
Others are trying to take advantage of people.
Some are outright lying to sell something that does not exist.

Only time will tell, we are just saying do not rush out and spend money unless and until it is the real thing.
Until then all claims of N2 hacks will be confined to this forum to keep people from being screwed with a fake hack.
