Hi all, Im a little confused on some instructions Ive been given,,I am switching from bev to dish and I was told I need to backup my tsop by "finding the proper tsop for my model". I dont get this, I have a 3100 dish and I dont understand what to do, Ive been reading on here but im still a real dummy!! PLEASE HELP!!!

To start, go to www.bellexpress.vu and click on the big banner saying to convert from bev to dish. Read that first. Also at that site there is a how-to menu on the left that if you click j-tag you come to a page that gives headings on reading your tsop and backing it up, before you change anything you need to back up your current tsop in case you have a problem and get messed up. As far as converting the 3100 I'm not sure exactly how but there are plenty of guys that do and I will look around too.

Well we will have to move you where you belong. IRD discussions.

But first, while your set up is still working turn your dish so it see's the 110 - 119 dish sats, it will say wrong sat but go ahead and tune it in.

Then erase Sa 3 in flash 1 and restream it while you are programming your card for Dish.

Put the card in and you will have disn.

The flash only has to be changed on some IRD's but not yours.

Dual or Single TSOP?

Main thing would be to point the dish towards Dishnet's birds, and then erase the appropriate sector for the model of receiver. Then, let it restream, program your testing method for Dish, and watch TV.

i dont understand what u mean by wiping it.. what do u use to backup your tsop software wise
