Sorry i am getting off topic but i wasn't sure where to post this. I have heard of a back door hack for rogers digital and was wondering if there is any truth to it. Anyone know anything about this?

In the discussion we mentioned whe discovered that there are several different types of service in use.
Unfortunatly I have the newest, digital 2 way electronicly controlled and all I can get is the always on minimum sub by hacking unless a neighbor has the premium sub and I tap his cable.

I wish I could tell you, I do not know their system.
Each digital system is different, I would research before installing anything as you can get royaly fucked as they are 2 way systems. (2 way communication)

BTW... I think there is some misconceptions about these damn adapters.
All they do is prevent the box to call in and report you purchases. But... in ALL DIGITAL SYSTEMS you box needs to call in once a month or so or it will de-activate itself.
The only way to re-connect it is to take the filter off, but of course the all purchases are still in the memory and you get charged for ALL it is reporting.
Plus... there is a time stamp (On Rogers) anyways. They can tell you have been fucking around with the box it they receive upload and see the purchases were made in a different billing period.
