Depend's on where ya live....the normal size of a C-band dish ..is 8-10-12 foot ....You can go a lil smaller on the Ku-band ...3-6 feet ....
There are some channels'...lol...Discovery ..History ...CNN....ect....You will need a old Black V-C11 board to test the C-band ..there hard to find ..and a lil expensive,,,,
There are no PPV....I'll dig around ..I used to have a channel list ..somewhere ...

i found a fortec 180 Cm 6ft C or Ku band satellite cwould this work for C band ?
The C-Band is analog signals
The KU band is digital signals
Both are superior in quality to dish and Bev but not many people can put a 6 to 12 foot dish up and everybody can put a 18 to 30 inch dush up.
There are stil a lot of channels on C-Band but there are more on the Ku band since everyone wants the better quality of digital Mpeg 2 & Mpeg 3.
The C-Band takes a larger dist but it can be a mesh dish.
Most KU band dishes are solid metal but sone are a finer mesh that C-Band because the frequency is higher and the signals would go right through the c-band holes instead of reflecting back to the LNA /LNB
If you get a KU you can use it for C-band if it is big enough. 6-8 feet.

And that's the last time i had my system up and running back in July 2004
right now i don't know if there is even that many channels left on the old
VC stream .. but also wanted to make note that most of the channels
roll thier seed keys at leat every 4 hours. This means in about every 4
hours you have to enter the seed key code to get audio on the channels
unless you left the reciever tuned to that channel then it auto rolls the
new seed key .. but only on the channel your watching....
Just wanted to let some peeps know that for a whole lotta work
gonna get very little TV
