have you ever thought of buying some BRAND NEW RG6. usually if it says your getting a signal on 110/119, but the check switch fails, it's a cable problem. Even check the ends to make sure they are ok

Open has a good point. I don't think it's a cable problem.
I have a dishpro lnb switch, and it's exhibiting the same problems Open has. The cable works fine.

I find that taking the IRD and a TV out to the dish with a good piece of cable and hooking up direct is the most reliable way to pin point the problem.
I keep a battery operated TV around just to set dishes up and check them and the switches in the field.
You can get them for $30 to $50 bucks.
I even picked up a little 12 volt DVD player to go with it to take to the beach and on the boat and stuff for $30.

Something like a switch goes bad frequently enough you can just go to the local dish installer / store and tell them that you had a problem and called customer service and they told you you needed a new swtich and they will sell you one, no problem.
You can also get one from //www.prosatellitesupply.com/ a legit dealer with good prices and fast shipping, I use them and am happy with their service. they have a I-Net store and a E-Bay store too. Check prices at both the E-Bay are usually lower. There are NO problems with buying legal items like switches.
