010 or 013 which one is better.

Hey , i got some dishnet recievers i was gonna ebay, but im gonna keep one for modifications..

I got a 010 with a yellow rom3 card.

and a 013 with a yellow rom101.

Well i listed the 010 rom3 one of course, and now im thinking thats the one to keep ? From my 5 minutes of reading i gathered that the 010's are easier to modify, and that the 013's take some extra steps ?

Anyway, should i just let the 010 go ? or should i end the auction and keep it. Its brand new in box never activated.

God i feel so nooby... I installed satellite for 2 years, but know nothing about haxin them. I guess all this DTV equipment i have is worthless now too ? Help me what should i do.

The -010 is easiest to work with.
Yellow ROM 3 card?? Yellow cards are 101, 102 or 103.

You posted it as YELLOW, which IS NOT a ROM 3.

I got a 010 with a rom10 off ebay awhile back for $60 did the card & plugged the receiver in...Thats all I had to do..No vidmod no locks nothing...
Still runnin strong have yet to have to reflash the IRD..
