I wanted to vote on a tv show on line.
Only people in the Canada could vote.........

Anyhow I did vote , and came this remark:
Only people in the Canada are allowed to vote.......

How do they know?

How can I change the location to be able to vote on this tv show?
Thanks

They can see your ip, Internet Provider Address (the computers address)

Then they know where you live.

You would have to find a "proxie" that shows the address as Canada

Like it was said, IPs can be tracked down to a country, and even to your ISP. And then if someone wants to track you down (like the idiots at RIAA), they contact your ISP, and the ISP looks in their logs for the IP you used.

There tools online to find people by IP if you know where to search ;) (hint : google)
