DVR (501) at Revision P223 update question

Is software (firmware revision) P300 ok to take?

I am having so many freakin digital break ups, spot beam error messages and today one constant nag with out dated info on hard drive would you like to update messages.
Any one else or just my 501?

I am at P223 I see current is P300

MY 508 is still at 223 , and its running fine , Its got an Ar105-c lock on it but its still got the Old 1.4 v S/w on it ( Back when the recordings couldn't be reased) and its working great still No wipes or ecm's Since I have had it ( November) Thats the main reason I don't upgrade to 300 because of fear that the old firmware on my lock won't work properly . Anyways Have you tried a reboot with your 501 ( by holding down the Power button on your receiver for about 10 seconds and then let go ) let us know !

I have been on P300 since it came out, no problems.

501 w/ Atmega, no lock

hi guys I just picked up a 501 with the software at p135.........I would say it needs to update..........ANY SUGGESTION.........I did my rom 10 card put it the ird and all light blink.....I got some screwy messages like searching for satelite,cards not valid with ird stuff.....I re-did the card and still the same.....any help would be great

let it take the update mine is on 301 no problems with rom 10 and millis PB

Ok folks I let this thing run over night and still nothing to report........The software version is p135 DCED-N and the local ID is 2C569924......I dont know if this info will help any one to help me............Is there any thing else I could check to see why it doing this.............The thing is just blinking.......When it does come on it states to stand bye aquiring satelite signal. Then the ird shuts off and I get a black screen.....Then it will blink on and state the same thing about signal.....I have checked the switch many times and have great signal and it does detect my dish...............
