thats the problem i cant get to married the hard disk this is frustrating y try a lot of flash and am getting error 0422 that means that not married

the problem was my box was working great then i get a 80gigs hard disk so i said let take the 120 gigs out of the 510 and put the 80 gigs one so i can use the 120 one in a more productive way so i put the 80 gigs and after a few try i read somehting about the compatibility and guess waht mine wasnt !!!

so i put back the old one and yes is fuc$%$%$ my existence because it dont want to work
i put a fresh virgin flash and eeprom and nothing just error 0422 and try like 2 different tsops a dfea and the one that was working before..

which one i should try the p80, p67 or the p223

the problem i experiment with the p80 is that i dont get any video at all sometimes or i dont get signal !!

now am using a dfea p080 connect no error with the hard disk but i cant get signal it dont even see the switch after a few switch tests and in the menu i dont see any of the functions of the pvr

what am suppose to do just turn it off and see if stream ???

To marry the hard drive, in a 508 or 510, you need virgin "moved ird info" flash.
It does not even have to stream to marry, that takes place within a few minutes of powering up the first time. If you get to the " please insert your smartcard" you should be there.
Then you can flash it up to a higher number with the corret build to get it to pass switch test and stream up to P300.

ok i pass that already the hard disk is married cause i dont get any error from it and i test it and record the info channel 101 and everything is fine the only problem is the flash is ecm cause is in loc id 000001 and every firmware i try is 000001 even without plug the dish or smart card

yes, with the 500 series you erase both flashes, but only load flash U7 and eeprom. When the IRD updates it will reload U6.
