Hi, I tried to convert back my 6000 receiver from BEV to DN. I used my original EPROM and both flashes. I program the EPROM first then I erased and reprogram flashes. After I rebut the receiver it doesn’t work any more. There is no lights ore any other indication that the receiver is alive. I left the receiver connected to the satellite for whole night, no change. I tied to reprogram the EPROM again with no success. I’m getting message “Error programming EEPROM at offset 0X0”. I also tried to erase the flashes. The message returned by jKeys is “The flash codes returned are not recognized by jKeys.” It looks like I’m completely stacked. If you have any suggestion please help.

There is a JYF- like fix for those 6000's. I remember getting JTAG errors when trying a BEV to DN conversion, and I ended up solving the problem by soldering one jumper... Good luck.

You slipped off the contacts when programming the flashes, you will have to erase them and start over.

You may have to try several times before it erases for you, when it does erase erase 3 times then program right away without losing contact. (you can pause between flashes just not in the middle of the erase write cycle)

Thank you guys, unfortunately I’m not able to erase any thing. When I’m trying to program flash jKeys give me a message “The flash codes returned are not recognized by jKeys.”. pwang100 do you remember where did you get that JYF?

let me see if i can find the info. i'll post back during the week if i can find it.
but, use this as a last resort... jtag-ing these units can be a touchy thing. you might have to try numerous times, and one time it will read.

I like to thanks everybody for trying to help me. Thanks to pwang100 my receiver is up and running. The problem was I wrote bins to wrong flashes which completely killed the receiver. Jkeys were not able to read or write flashes or EPROM any more. Here is the fix I received from pwang100.
"Left side of R286 (connected to ST20TP4) and SB124 (ground) keep the jumper for jkeys... run...”

Thaaaanks.
