Can anybody tell me if I can do a junkyard fix on a 7200 ?

You can do it, but it won't stream update if you do. Only way to fix a 7x00 now days is to remove and reprogram the tsop. Pretty late in the game to be making that kind of investment unless you can do it yourself.
