Yeah, except the war Patton was fighting was necessary. What were doing in Iraq is not. It's impossible to make a valid comparison between the two. What the US is doing in Iraq is the result of a personal vendetta; a war of choice rather than necessity. A war that was consented to because the Bush administration lied to and decieved America...which is something they've gotten better at than any administration in history. Patton was a great man. Bush is not. Patton was a patriot. Bush is not. Patton cared about what happened to this country. Bush doesn't care about anything other than the balance in his bank book. Patton would have planted Bush in a heartbeat.
I'll never understand how people let themselves become so mislead by the Republican propaganda machine. (AKA- gay boy Karl Rove)

France thought they could pacify the nazis in WWII. They obviously did not learn. I'm neither democrat or republican, but my vision is clear and not clouded by political hate. Those who cannot see past their own greed will suffer the most. Patton should have kicked Stalin's butt, but the politicians thought they could control him. Instead we got the cold war. The only fools opposing the US are the ones who lost bribe money after the gulf war. Again, personal greed of a few outweighs the value of human life. It is the press that forms oppinions over in europe, not the actions or policies of a president. Open your eyes!! Semper Fi!!

some people will never understand the true nature of the Iraq war , saddam had nothing to do with 911 , the war is all about having military bases in iraq and oil . I have as much right as any other taxpayer to make my own assessment as to the appropriateness of my governments actions. In fact, it's my civic duty to make sure I speak out if I think the government is behaving innappropriately. Blindly following the leader is what sheep do. The Iraq war this time around is a personal vendetta by Bush and he got congressional approval only because he lied his ass off about what was really going on. If you want to support the troops in this war, you will fight tooth and nail to bring them home ASAP and get them out of a conflict that can not be 'won'. The only winners in the Middle East today are Halliburton and the other treasonous corperations that are using the conflict to rape tax $ from every person in this country.
