My 510 was working until one day ...unknown switch. Now I get only the even transponders when I do a check switch. I'm getting only 15 volts from the sat in. My signal is good because I have 3 receivers in the house. I have been reading post about the Conexant chip and thought that would be the problem. I bought a couple and tried swapping with the new one.....Same results. What other possibilities can I test to see what is wrong with this ird? I don't know what to troubleshoot.....Any help would be appreciated....Thanks

Go to dishpointing menu, Connect a dc voltmeter to the output. Watch the voltmeter and manually change transponders on the menu. If voltage changes max chip most likely, If voltage stays the same lnb voltage switching transitor problem or power supply 18 volt is out.

The voltmeter shows 15 volts on odd transponder and 13 volts on even transponders. Shouldn't it be 13 volts on odd and 19 on even transponders? So do you think it's the max chip? If it is .....Can you tell me how much and where to get it?

15 is pretty low, 17.8 to 19.3 is more like it on the high side. I think you have a power supply problem going here or the transitor that controls the high lnb voltage isn't fully switching on. The Max chip is probably ok.
