My Insurance for 3 vec, 2 houses and a cottage in 2000 was 3288.00 for a year

I just renewed at 11200.03 . Can't blame that on inflation or anything else.

The government put a 25% cap on and it ran out, so I seen an immediate increase of around 2800.00 this year.

Oddly enough, I have been with the same broker since 1978, and have never filed a claim.

The only way to afford insurance is to have a few claims you can make money off of to pay the premiums.

You are paying on the basis of the people who DO HAVE CLAIMS, not your good record.

What they lose you pay for + their esclating profit.

After being limited by the cap the first thing they did was add in all that they would have added over the years it was efective + 10% to teach the government and people who wanted it that they just can't win.

So what's the exchange rate from US to CDN to Bahamian? It's obvious I'm getting a better deal than Cimba is even though I'm bitching my ass off about it. We can produce BioDiesel for about $3.50/gal, so I don't see prices going much higher than that here in the US. Almost everyone in my 'neighborhood' runs diesel feul anyway.

I think the words of wisdom was that gas prices were going to rise out of control. There just isn't any new news to be had regarding the N2 fix. Didn't mean to hijack your thread....it just worked out that way. :p

I can see the oil wells and oil refineries from here, that makes for a few cents difference.

Europe and other countrys have always had high gas prices, that's why they have small cars, they do not drive the big ones they build over there they just make them to sell in the U.S. You would get arrested for driving a HUMMER in japan.

We are the only ones driving giant gas hogs.

The fact that mili is several hundred miles out to sea has a lot to do with the gas prices there. Everything is higher there, transportation charges, I live on a Island just 10 miles offshore from the Oil Refineries with a causeway between them and gas is always .08 to .12 more here than on the mainland.

I personally think that gas prices will drop when Bush gets his ass out of Iraq and Afganistan. He did that on purpose because his daddy makes money off oil. Remember when his dad was in power? Wasn't that the last time the US went to Iraq and thats when prices were high. Don't you think its a bit of a coincidence??? Just my 0.02

Hi Guys,
I think Milli has spoken to the state of the progress of the N2 stream.. just look at our site..
It's getting converted to a Torrents site.. Milli I'm not bashing your efforts I'm only stating the obvious..
We all hope the news changes but at this point the out look is not good..our best chances is to dump the card
that hasn't happen that I know about.. they are some that have the skill but I'm afraid that even if they dumped the card tomorrow
a lot of work would be needed to make a workable model.. I do think that the N2 stream will be hacked.. I don't think we will ever see a P4/D1 hack.. I hope I'm wrong but the news we have heard would suggest that serious programmers have switch their efforts to the N2 stream.. I'm sure that they are some deep underground efforts that I know nothing about so we keep a glimmer of hope..I think that the big bud dish may gain some new interest.. I still have one but it hasn't seen duty in a long time..

I see that HBO will get converted by the end of the month so the end is near..I have enjoyed being a member here.. I really miss reading post by Chief.. I hope he's doing ok.. I'm going to have to second that sentiment. Of all the mods out there on all the sites, Chief was hands down the best IMO. We were damn fortunate to have him. Given the present state of affairs though, we should just be happy for him that he's not having to sort out this BS yet again. Chief served his term with valor. Maybe we should make up some kind of moderator purple heart or something to honor his service.

I haven't been around these parts for about 3 months almost, mostly because there hasn't been much going on but I notice alot of the regulars who used to be here before aren't here any longer. What happened to all the moderators, the past couple days the only one's I've seen here is smilingjack & JT? Oh & BTW, do you guys ever sleep or work, lol, your names are always in the online section.

I hear from chief every week or two. His original medical problem has been fixed.
But he is having some other potentially more serious medical problems the doctors can not seem to diagnose.
They continue to do tests which he hates.
So far nothing serious has been found but it is definatley worrysome and he says the condition is uncomfortable/painful.


A lot of the regular members have moved on to other things with testing coming to a end.

Most of the other Mods are devoting their time to finding a N2 hack which does not leave a lot of time to 'spoon feed' newbys, nor is it as important to all of us, and maybe to them financially if they find it.

JT and I are dumb old farts, retired and trying to take up the slack left by the brainy Mods who are trying to get a N2 hack for you by 'spoon feeding' the newbys in their abscence.

We go off line once in a while to get a beer and a burger and maybe some shut eye when things get slow.
