i am asking for a friend. he has a dvr(510-501???) and it runs for 5 min and then it powers down on its own. any idea whay this is happening?
running rom 10 and has digi lock, but gets no errors.

perhaps the tsop is corrupted, try reloading the software to the receiver

the software in the receiver may have gotten corrupted somehow making it power down, erase flashes one and two and reload with backed up software, you only have to reload flash two and restream it, it will force the download,
