On a 4500 you have two TSOP's to lock. Will the lock handle two? That aside you need to cut traces on the bottom of the PC board to install a lock in the 4500. At least for the first TSOP the second you may have to lift the WE pin. The second is a 32 pin DIP IC instead of a surface mount IC.

I used to have a guide with pictures. I'll see if I can find it and post it to mili's file site.

Claude123 I did a little checking and you have too much lock for the job. You only need the Charlie Buster lock for 3900 and 301.010 and 301.013. Of course the 3100 version in bev.

The locks in the instructions for the 4500 (single ic or two ic lock still work just fine in the 4500. Charlie hasen't figgured a way to install the lock detecting software in those.

Oh if you still want to use the charlie buster. DQ7 is pin 21 on the DIP layout or Pin 29 on the surface mount version. I recommend using the DIP pin. It's not used and is easy to connect to. It also connects to pin 29 on the surface mount IC.

I don't have the specs for the 1 meg DIP ic. But I think it's the same layout as the 4 meg one. I do know all the connections besides DQ7 are the same on the 1 meg DIP. So likely to be the same all around.
